Spectral Works proudly announces a record deal with Buraco Negro, a Metal, Avant Garde, Prog Jazz band from Lisboa, Portugal, for the release of their debut album, 53 490 000 Anos Luz.
Buraco Negro is an original and conceptual musical project created in 2023 by LordSir7Peles, born from the desire to explore new sonic languages and artistic narratives beyond conventional boundaries. The project presents itself as a space for experimentation, identity, and profound expression, where music is treated as a sensory, emotional, and philosophical journey.
Buraco Negro’s sound merges influences from heavy metal, doom metal, and avant‑garde with elements of prog jazz, resulting in a dense, atmospheric, and unpredictable aesthetic. Each composition is crafted as part of a greater universe, where weight, dissonance, and improvisation coexist with moments of introspection and creative freedom.

The concept took form when LordSir7Peles shared the idea with Carlos Pires, whose vision and artistic sensitivity were essential to bringing the project to life. From this collaboration emerged a body of work that preserves the project’s raw and distinctive essence while adding solidity, coherence, and sonic depth.
The project achieved an even more singular dimension with the special participation of José Martins on saxophone. His presence introduces an expressive and unexpected layer to Buraco Negro’s music, strengthening the fusion between experimental metal and progressive jazz, and broadening the emotional and atmospheric range of the compositions.
Thus, Buraco Negro positions itself as a bold and self-aware artistic project, reclaiming the importance of music with soul, personality, and concept. It looks to the past as a reference and to the future as an open, uncertain, and challenging territory. It invites the listener to dive in without guarantees, embracing the fall, the intensity, and the transformation that only a true musical journey can provide.
